My husband and I will be relocating somewhere outside of Charlotte in the next few months.

We have 2 dogs, an Aussie and a Lab Mix and we had previously had them with an in home boarder who would take them when we went away. I am hoping to find something similar so we can continue to travel without worry.

Looking for any recommendations from any fellow dog owners!

Thanks in advance

I've had the same issue. We recently got two dogs, but with no family out here we didn't know what to do with them when we go out of town. My brother mentioned rover.com, and it looks a lot cheaper and more appealing than going to a doggie hotel or kennel. Essentially, there are people that will take the dog into their home for $25-30/day and take care of them. When I browsed through ads, a lot of times it seemed like people who worked from home or were in grad school and looking for a little extra income. I'd recommend checking it out.

Also, I saw that there was a groupon earlier this week (not sure if it expired or not). It was $75 off of rover.com for new customers.

I use Dog as Second Language for all my day care and boarding needs - and I am really happy with them. They take very good care of my baby while I am gone.

You can look them up at : Boarding, Training, and Daycare: Dog as a Second Language

Also, I just got to know about family that has excellent feedback as pet-sitter - however, i did not get a chance to use them yet. If you need their info - please DM me.

Hope you find good care for your dogs and travel peacefully !

If you can't find anyone, we'd be glad to take care of your dogs. We have a dog of our own, with a large yard and three additional acres they can be walked on.

IM me if you're interested.

We also use Dog as a Second Language and have been very happy. The price is reasonable and my pup, a golden retriever, loves it there.
