Curious if you think Carowinds will be more or less crowded on Easter Sunday? We were thinking about treating our kids to a day at the park.

My guess would be less crowded, just because most people are home with family and it's not like a Disney World where most people are traveling to get there or on vacation.

The parks been very busy all week except for Tuesday when it rained and they closed early. Easter Sunday, weather willing, will be crowded starting around 1pm. Get there at 10am and enjoy the rides without any lines.

My personal advice to everyone : I get a season pass every year almost. If you plan on more than one visit this year a good investment would be a season pass, a 'gold' pass at that as you do not have to pay for parking either.

The park on Friday was very busy (4/25) and there were a lot of different schools there which actually made up a bulk of the crowds there. I usually avoid Carowinds on weekends and Fridays but went yesterday anyways. Basically all the rides, even the smaller rides had long lines. I actually felt kind of bad for people entering the park when I was leaving because they spent so much money to go in with what appeared to be a 45 min or so wait per ride, and the park closed at 7.

I would suggest Monday thru Thursday during the summer since they are open well into the evening and the water park is open too. Most of the rides have very little wait times.
