My kids finally decided to learn Korean. Can anyone recommend a tutor or place to learn this? I saw some meetups but would prefer a one on one or somewhat formal/organized lessons in the SE Charlotte area. I googled a little but again only saw the casual meetups.

Thanks.

I don't have any tutor ideas, but maybe posting a sign in a local Korean or Asian store would be a good way to find someone who can help. For example, you could try PePeRo, a small Korean grocery store (and delicious restaurant ) in Matthews.

I forgot about that store/restaurant. Plus Grand Asia has a community board as well. Will try that if all else fails. Thanks.

If you can get someone to answer the phone, any of the Korean Churches in Charlotte can put you in touch with a college student. You may have to fax in your request.

Perhaps the English language Training Institute (ELTI) at UNCC can match you with a student to teach your kids.

Thanks, I found a couple of emails for a few Korean Churches down the street from me. I thought about the college but I am about 45 minutes away from the University area and was thinking it might be too far.
