Disclaimer I've read some older post on this topic, but a year or two old.

Currently living in Atlanta looking for a new job. Been her most my life. Spent couple years in Nashville.
I'm 28, single, and black.

How is Charlotte? Received a job offer from a pretty big company.
What's important to me would be well...what young single people are interested in. How are these things relative to Atlanta. I don't want to get there and be bored.

People (diverse, progressive, etc.)
Single, professional population (particularly black)
Night Life (bars & lounges)
Restaurants (very much up to trying new things often)
Events (i.e. summer festivals)

Cost of living I've been told is pretty much the same as Atlanta

Charlotte is extremely similar to Atlanta. Just think of everything Atlanta has but about half of it. Charlotte is Atlanta 20 years ago. Plenty to do.

Agreed. Very similar just on a smaller scale. You would have no problems with being bored. Unless you are a boring person.

LoL. Gotcha. I've only visited a couple times and that's the feeling I got from it.

So I guess Charlotte is a no go. Just talked to a friend living there and he pretty much said the same thing.

Thanks
