Hi there QC Misfit,

This Charlotte site has some quality people on here that give honest advise, we are very thankful for all of the help we have gotten. We like to be outdoors. We like to golf, really. We would like to be fairly close to shopping, restaurants things like that. we want the perfect location for the perfect price. I know it tuff to find but we are looking hard for it. : )

skillet, sent you a dm about a golf community I like. I do believe you will find what you are looking for in Charlotte - be sure to hire a good local realtor when the time comes, one who knows the areas well that you are interested in!

Suggest you check out the free guided walking tour of Uptown. Starts at the Visitor Info Center, 330 S. Tryon Street, Fridays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Takes about an hour and a half and you get a good orientation to what's uptown, as well as some Charlotte history. The Visitor Center also has lots of other free info about the city, things to do, places to go, etc.

Hello!

If you're looking for school info, check out:

www.greatschools.net

Has some parent reviews, as well as school ratings/demographics.

I've also been through Union County/Wedding area....really pretty down there off 485, and good schools, too. Commute to uptown is quite busy in the morning and afternoon though.

Good luck!

try

CarolinaHome.com

you can search by area/city...and can search by beds/baths/acres.

They should have all the MLS listings in the charlotte area.
We used this site to find our home....

Good Luck

We live in Waxhaw and my husband works Uptown. The commute is about 45 minutes without traffic and at least an hour with traffic.
