Happy Sunday to everyone!
I need some help in finding a church, in the S. Charlotte/Rock Hill area. I'm almost 50, so I'm looking for a church that has an active, older singles ministry (as I'm single). I'd prefer a small to medium size church. I tried Elevation and really enjoyed Pastor Furtick, but to be honest, I just sort of felt 'lost' there. I attend the Rock Hill location from time to time. I would prefer a church thats nondenominational, and has bible studies & prayers services(not a deal breaker). Although Elevation has their version of Bible study (called e-groups), i still felt lost. So many young people. I know you go to church to hear the word & not for the people, but aren't there any friendly, down home type churches left? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you.

There have been reports on the news about Elevation & they are affiliated with the Baptist synod. You might want to check out Love Valley Baptist Church. Their phone number is 704 730-0075. They are south of Kings Mountain. I don't belong nor do I go there, but the population in the area skews older. You might want to google for churches in Kings Mountain & Bessemer City. Make some calls to check them out. You might also want to try Gastonia as well.

If you're willing to go to Rock Hill, I don't think that this area would be much farther. Good luck.

I attend Elevation at the Blakeny campus and there are "older" people there. LOL I'm 53, the woman that sat beside me today had to be at least 65 and so on. Yes, there are young people there, too,its a good mix. I love Pastor Steven. His message today was fantastic!

Thank you for the responses! Not sure where I'm headed, but I'll consider the options offered.
