Hi all,

Need expert opinion! I have thin fine hair which is curly towards the bottom and extremely frizzy. I do not use blow dryers or flat irons. I am afraid of keratin treatment because of the formaldehyde , however I am not a fan of hair growing out after the Japanese straightening.
What would be my best option considering my hair - Japanese or some formaldehyde-free treatment?
I need it to last until 1-2 months. And any salon you would recommend, especially in the Blakeney, ballantyne or Arboretum area?

I would ask for a consultation, and maybe research online, read reviews.

I like Carmen Carmen salon. 6 locations, including one near Johnston and 485.
I also like Modern Salon, they have a location in Phillips Place.

I've worked with both salons and the stylists seem very knowledgeable and capable. But I would go in and consult first, get their opinion, see what their approach would be.

No, I don't do any permanent things to my hair and only color it for shows. However, since no one was answering the post, I figured I'd throw a few suggestions out there to start the search.

With anything permanent/chemical, I would ask questions and be clear on what your desired final look is, so that there is no confusion on what processes will be used. Pictures can be helpful. Usually, I look at businesses on yelp to get a first impression.
