I don't really see what makes Ballantyne much more attractive than Harrisburg. They both have highly rated schools. Commutes probably about the same. Ballantyne has the advantage on amenities nearby, but Harrisburg has the advantage on taxes.
I lost around $30,000 on equity in a property in that area that hasn't recovered so I know it pretty well. I would say that if you are going for at least stable property value with some appreciation go for Ballantyne.

I suggested Gaston to the OP in another thread. There are stable areas with good schools but the OP keeps asking for someone to give the green light on Harrisburg.
