We have a large walk in closet with an irregular shape and I want to have a closet system with shelves, drawers, hanging etc designed and installed.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Have you looked at the Elfa system at The Container Store? We had all our closets done with Elfa and absolutely love them. If you go into the store and bring your measurements, they will design the entire space for you after asking you various questions to sort out your needs. My husband really likes his pre-built rods for hanging all his dress pants. You can see what I mean in this pic:
The Container Store to Offer Luxury Closet Systems

Look at the pants on the bottom right of the pic. Those rods actually slide out so you can retrieve your garments easily. Best time to buy is during their semi-annual sale when materials and installation are 20-25% off. We also priced out California Closets. That closet system was perhaps 20% pricier, but also looked more traditional and a bit 90s-rific. Elfa is a little sleeker and more modern.

Odd shaped walk in closet re-do project

That is a link to my thread on a custom closet system I did myself. It was a Martha Stewart design from Home Depot.

This definitely a do it yourself project if you can measure and turn a screwdriver. Will probably save a TON doing it yourself too.

Ikea's closet systems are good, too and offer a heap of options. Again, it's more of a DIY you job, but there's a lot of flexibility there and you can get a lot of the features you'd pay a ton elsewhere for.

Ikea bookcases are bad enough to put together. The thought of a big closet full makes me shake!

Obviously you are not in a do it yourself frame of mind for this project..... Just hire someone and pay the premium price.

Ikea stuff is easy peazy to put together!!

Or pay a college kid in need of a few bucks to assemble the IKEA stuff for you!

I have done more than my share of Ikea over the years and invariably 50% of the time a piece or 2 is missing, that is my main Ikea gripe that and the fact that within 5 years it is falling apart.

I am a big DIYer, so that is not an issue.

Looking into having it done for me and installed as well as the Elfa which has a nice look to it.

Thanks for the help
