If they were from Mayberry, they would know how to load, aim and fire. Well, all except Barney, of course.

It tends to be people who grew up in burbs, rather than in small towns, who get more frightened about crime. At least, that is true for most of the Southerners I know. Rural South, small town South, very different than city suburban South, LOL.

What do you think about the arts district? I'm coming to town at the end of July and if things go well, we'll be moving to Chartlotte at the end of August, opening a shop and live somewhere in/near arts district or NoDa as my broker said its name.

Do yourself a big favor - before you invest so much of your life in this area of Charlotte, contact one of our regular posters here on direct message and get his views. What he can tell you as somone who bought in NoDa, and then fled NoDA may be very helpful. Particularly regarding which streets you'd really want to avoid. Look for LAMF - PLEASE do your due diligence.
