Charlotte has so little unique markets. We always end up with corporate giants, no personal style, just over priced garbage packaged up nice. So when I found this gem in Southpark at Sharon Corners, I rejoiced. Fresh local seafood and a gourmet market to boot. It's a gem in a land of fakes.. If you go their website, you can sign up for deals by text. I get great ones that way.

There are these things called trucks. There's a whole industry... never mind.

So they are advertising "fresh local seafood"? They selling the stuff pulled out of Lake Norman and Lake Wylie?

Putting stuff on a truck does not magically make it "local".

Shrimp from the Carolina coast rather frozen shrimp from Thailand. That's what they mean.

I would think calling anything from NC, VA, and SC coast as local is a safe bet. When I worked in restaurants here and in Charleston we always stated where it was from. In Charleston local was Charleston or another area of SC. We might have said regional and listed where it was from. So maybe regional would be a better adjective than local.
