What is the current rate of pay for preschool teachers or child care center workers? Where are the best preschools to teach and what is the rate for that school?
Also, I have a 1 year old, so let me know if you know of any schools that give you a discount for teaching there while also bringing your child to a class.
It's quite a wide range of pay with the private preschools. Plus it's based on experience and certificates. Also NC is a bit different and might require you to get some certifications here that isn't needed elsewhere. (might be the same where you are from, but just telling you to look into it)
I have seen entry level at 8.00 and hour and up. But you would really have to apply and find out. As for best preschools, I will leave others to suggest that. Good luck!
Hey, thanks! Yes, I have been working at CPCC. :-) EDU 119 is the class/credential that every early childhood teacher has to have. Working on an associates in Early Childhood, and possibly will get the certificate first.
Good! I wasn't sure if you were coming in from out of state and wanting a preschool job with out of state credentials/certifications.
Doesn't CPCC have a job placement service? I would look into that.
