All of our community colleges are great. If an opening exists in your field, you'll need 18 graduate hours in a major. Sunny (the little scamp) forgot about Mitchell Community College - Mooresville Center.

Anifan link is better than what I provided it gives more detail information on instructional information with local community colleges and detail information
does anyone currently teach adjunct on this board? if so, do you use this to supplement your income or can you do this solely to support yourself?
I have been an adjunct for 6 years, since my retirement fro the same industry I currently teach in.
Adjuncts are limited into the number of hours they can teach in any period (suspect it has to do with if you taught more they would have to offer benefits, etc) and it varies widely from semester to semester. Both because of enrollment, student needs, and enrollment is always lower in the summer.
As an adjunct you will work for a department chair, or in my case 3 different department chairs, and their full time staff have a minimum number of hours they must teach each semester. Adjuncts get the overflow, unless you have qualifications to teach a unique course.
It's great money, and I really enjoy teaching (a big change from my profession) but it is not an income, but a nice supplement.
