That's 97% right there. I only have a problem with those people who don't want to make positive contributions to society. It just so happens that black minorities have a much higher percentage of these people than anyone else. Who's fault is that? Of course...it's not theirs, let's blame everyone else for them making crappy choices.
I was talking about the other 60% of the population behind bars...
that's not even close to true anymore. Maybe in the 80s.
Well, a lot of these opinions are from the 80's. Charlotte is diverse and there are a lot of young professionals who dont think like a lot of people on CD.
How would you encourage an increase in racial diversity in a predominantly white town/neighborhood-region over the course of one generation... WITHOUT public subsidy? I'm talking from policy, to grassroots.
As a note, I specifically mean the ultimate result of the buying of homes by more diverse groups in the town/area. Not just renting domiciles. Im talking hard ownership.
Go.
Why?
Personally, I think there is too much focus on diversity and race. I'd rather think of people as.....oh, I don't know......maybe just "people".

Easy to say.. impossible to do.
Reminds me of a coworker who said he had a Black friend and thrn turned around and said he doesnt see color.
There are still a lot of people who see color and use the actions of a few to paint a whole race in a negative light then turn around and talk about personal responsibility when the criminal is the same race as them.
In North Carolina blacks make up 22% of the population yet they are 61% of the prison population. Again, facts speak for themselves. No, not all black people are criminals but over 1/3 of adult black males have been in prison at one point in their life. What does that say? It says there's a problem with their behavior and I don't want to live in a neighborhood full of people who have a 1 in 3 chance of being criminals. That's all...

Thats all? I'm sure you can find another way to say the same thing a 3rd time.
