nope, but the enterance to the 1st phase is very close to the HT. I think majority of the problems (police related) have been in the 2nd-3rd phase of the nhood. There is a foreclosure problem all over that hood though (50 or more).

lol, oh yeah, they named that the Steelecroft shopping center. What a mix up :-) The shopping center is nice, the Steelecroft subdivision not so nice. We drove through one day after the gang markings to see first hand, and there was general rif raf all over the neighborhood. Yikes!

Default Steelcroft

I love the steelcroft devolopment. Neighbors and people are so friendly and can't believe people actually said there were "gangs". There are hardworking people that live in this community and I am so happy I bought a house in this community.

There are no gangs in this neighborhood. We have lived here for 11 years and raised 2 boys here. We have never seen a gang sign anywhere in phase 2 or 3!!! Very friendly people here and a great HOA who keeps the neighborhood very nice and peaceful!! Not any more forclosures than any other neighborhood in Charlotte.

I have lived in steelecroft place for 2 years now and have not seen anything that could be considered unsafe let alone "gang related". I was curious to see what people had to say about my subdivision so I googled it and was surprised to see this so I had to reply. I can't speak to what it was like more than 2 years ago (I see these posts are from 08' which could have been a different story), but have felt very safe since we moved here.
