Does anybody know if there are any Mexican Meat Markets (Carnicerias) anywhere in Charlotte that sell GOOD carne asada? Not sure if it was just a California thing, but I'm getting a hankering and we have had no luck yet. I'd be willing to go to Gastonia too. Thanks!

Yep, they are all over. Seriously though, any thing that says "taquiero" or "carnecerias" you better check the sanitation grade.

Definitely one in Monroe on Hwy 74 (Roosevelt Ave) next to the Health Dept. and DSS. You might take a ride down South Blvd between Harrelson Ford and Tyvola, you ought to find some there. if you want good "authentic" Tacos, try the Taqueria La Unica on South Blvd. across from Harrelson Ford.
