Hi everyone! My first post.

My husband and I are looking at possibly relocating (again). Background: We currently live in Seattle. We moved here from a very tiny town in the Mississipi delta, where we lived for 3 years. We both grew up in Dallas. My husband partially in Denver.

We love hiking, biking and tennis. We feel like we could maybe get the best of everything there. Also, close proximity to family.

Dallas was so great in my early 20's and Seattle was perfect for our newlywed status. Having a family now makes living here even harder.

I would appreciate any insight anyone has. Thanks.

Are you looking to find something more like Dallas? Cause if you are happy in Seattle, this is sooooo different - on every level, from weather to culture.

Have you spent time in Dallas lately - meaning - the suburbs? Are you looking for Plano/Frisco/Irving? If you are looking for Denver, you may find some of that - more like Evergreen - around Asheville. You want the burbs? You want rural? I am assuming you don't want uptown urban . . .

Charlotte reminds me of some areas around St. Louis and some areas around Philadelphia. Doesn't really remind me of Denver. Dallas not a whole lot, altho Ballantyne reminds me some of Plano/Frisco and a little Irving, LOL. Please note: I really like Plano, Frisco and Irving and Ballantyne is a well planned area in S. Charlotte. There are some older subdivisions in Charlotte that do remind me of areas of Dallas - what is the name of the area? Highland Park and Turtle Creek I think.
