Did spell check help you out? I hate it when it does that to me especially when I find it after the post cannot be altered. I am making the assumption you mean Lake Tillery.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Tillery

I don't know about the best BBQ in Stanley County but Bridges on Highway 74 West is where we like the best.

This is where we will be.

Found this for you. Moderator cut: Link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed Hope they will be doing this in 2017 too??

http://visitstanly.com/restaurants-in-stanly-county/ Never been to any of these places to eat. Morrow Mountain is great since it is about 500 feet above everything else and has the cool air to prove it.

Can I guess you will be visiting friends?

There is a neighborhood in Northern Union County that has a yearly BBQ and parade where everybody turns out. I am still looking for information for you about this event. http://unionvillenc.com/2017%204th%20of%20July.pdf
So you can find it. http://unionvillenc.com/

Thanks

I didn't realize there were some "no fly zones" there. Appreciate it.

It changes fast here. It was absolutely beautiful the last week. Mild temperatures, low humidity for this time of year, and no evening thunderstorms. That is all supposed to change by tomorrow as the humidity returns and the evening thunderstorms appear over the weekend. Highs in the low 90's. So the weather now, fantastic. Tomorrow, so - so and normal for summer.
