That's for sure! We don't have to clean up the mess that Donald the Orange Menace would leave in his wake, along with the "unpaid bills" the taxpayers of Charlotte would be on the hook for, given Trump's atrocious repayment track record! Let Jacksonville get "jacked" for the honor.

Its good to know the crowds wont be an issue. Who cares ? I live in Charlotte and pay plenty in taxes , If the bars and foreigned owned hotels lose a zillion bucks I think its funny. Trump is going to win again anyway....

Which hotels in Charlotte are "foreigned owned" and why do you think its funny if they lose "a zillion bucks"? I'm pretty sure any that exist in Charlotte employ locals and pay local, state, and federal taxes.

By "foreign owned" hotels, are you talking about Day's Inns and Budget Motels owned by Indians and have the coffee and doughnut continental breakfasts?

Looks like the convention won't be held in Jacksonville either. Trump just cancelled it. Too many COVID cases.

Kudos to Governor Cooper for doing what's right and standing up to Trump.
