If you head South, into Union County, Marvin Ridge, Cuthbertson, and Weddington are all great schools.

Alas, the OP zipbags' subject heading specifically references schools "around Charlotte". Depending on how zipbags defines "around Charlotte", schools in Union County, Marvin Ridge, Cuthbertson, Weddington, etc may be possible candidates.

Well firstly north of Charlotte is cancer cluster central. It was pinpointed towards one town but has spread to surrounding. Also NC is 40th in the nation for education (49th on some studies) so "best" is a relative term here..... best compared to what? Mississippi schools? Louisiana schools? maybe, yah... best to NJ schools, NY schools, Ma schools.. not by a long shot..

The poster said, "around Charlotte" for one thing. But for another, ANYTIME you look up best schools in the Charlotte area, Union County schools are included in that.

And yet, many of our schools are in the top 2% of the nation's high schools according to US News and World Report. So, there must be SOMETHING decent around these here parts!
