You're welcome. Actually, I forgot about it when I posted about the light display.

Woah that's fantastic!

On a smaller scale, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens has a nice peaceful quiet display of lights throughout the grounds.

Not sure the exact times, but the Phillips Place shopping center in SouthPark also has a small festival in the evenings and they play a pretty neat light show up on the side of the hotel building (it's much cooler than it sounds).

Thanks for all the suggestions. Will definitely do the Speedway and the gardens. I have also heard that McAdenville is pretty overrated and traffic is a nightmare so we may avoid that. I will see if the wife would like to see the train setup, I know I would. We only have 2 nights there so that would have to be it. Now need to plan day time stuff. The train setup may fit that bill.

I looked online, which museum is it? Looks like Charlotte has a bunch.

I also found that the Billy Graham Library has a Christmas display and carriage ride. I showed my wife that and she definitely wants to visit there.

The trains & setup are furnished by a local model train club. It's a good-sized setup that wouldn't fit in most homes. Members of the club come in & run the trains. The museum was a post office before the current post office was built.

If you do McAdenville, I find it much less stressful to just park outside the town and walk through rather than follow the line of cars. Other people are walking too so it is more social and you can stop by the fire station, etc...

My wife found that Billy Grahams Library does Christmas stuff plus a carriage ride so that was added in. With everything I am finding, I now wish we had at least 1 extra night to fit them all in.
