I concur with lovemountains. I thought when I visited the area of Country Club I would be going to a prestine area of town and that it is not. I like how they did the garage doors of this home ... really cute
Weedy - I noticed that, too. Like - 1500 sq. ft. Although there are some nice details (hardwood floors, very nice kitchen appointments) when one considers location and size . . . it really is not the bargain property.
Kja: Were you particularly wanting to find something East? Or did you just like this house? If there is some way we can direct you to a property in your price range, let us know.
Agreed with the above, although I was driving through that area on Shamrock the other day, and I think it might be improving somewhat. Many of the houses are fairly well-kept & there's the beginnings of some new commercial stuff around there. Might be a good investment down the road, agreed about good starter house for someone without kids, especially if looked at as investment & short commute uptown.
It would really be perfect for a single guy or just a couple with no kids, or as PlanR says, someone looking for a great commute to uptown (who doesn't mind being in a bit more "urban" environment)

I was thinking the same thing! The house is adorable and I was impressed with the kitchen . . . a nice kitchen is a really big selling point (for me). But that square footage price - I find that bothersome. I can't imagine that the lot was that terribly expensive . . . ????
