Hi, can anyone speak to the general feel for life in Skyecroft? Are there community get-togethers or social gatherings? Is there holiday spirit/do people decorate for the holidays? We have young kids and have heard great things about the Weddington school district, but the neighborhood is just as important to us. Thanks in advance!

Look for the FB page on Skyecroft. It shows a fishing tournament with lots of kids participating and a mother-daughter soccer tournament.

Regarding holiday decorations, see what the HOA rules say. They might ban blow-up Santas, for example, or limit the time when lights may be put up. I would also ask your Realtor if there are companies that put up decorations in the development. Given that Skyecroft has some very large houses and lots, the owners probably need professionals to decorate.

Thanks - the FB page recommendation was helpful. It looks like there are a lot of community get-togethers. There was one last night to kick-off Summer at the Skyecroft clubhouse/pool.
Our only concern is sidewalks.. we don’t want our young kids riding their bikes and scooters in the street, but it looks like several of the gated communities in weddington/Marvin lack sidewalks so maybe that’s just how it’s done? We’ll adjust! Thanks again.
