Hello my wife is a teacher and has received her NC Certificate already. Her only issue at this moment is, she is 7 month pregnant.

My question is, since she is 7 month pregnant should she wait till after her pregnancy to start her application or should she start the process now?

Her best bet would be to deliver then apply for a job. CMS Schools always have openings as well as Gaston County. Worse Case Scenario is that she becomes a certified substitute and then obtains a permenant opening through that. Often at christmas time there is an exedous from teaching jobs, in alot of counties through out the state.

Good Luck and congrats on the baby.

Does she want to work with a newborn at home?

One issue I can think of is that childcare often has a waiting list, esp. for the little ones. I didn't want to commit to childcare until I had a job in hand.

I would wait. There is always a need every month in most counties to fill mat. leaves.
