My work neighbor here said St Louis is cheaper than Charlotte. I don't know personally...just going by what she said...she just moved here last year from St Louis.

Metro St Louis would be West Central Illinois....not Southern Illinois/Missouri. St Louis is a nice city though!

Chalotte is a lovely city-- but you won't make as much -- and CMC will pay less than presby-- trust me on it! as far as cost of living and housing-- there is all kinds of ranges-- but there is money in Chalotte so things are pricey--although I'm noticing some pretty great deals right now. Huntersville, Lk norman is awesome--the drive down 77 can be a bear. Northeast is now owned by CMC.
