We have just reduced our house in Waxhaw, NC just outside of Charlotte.
The sale price is now 219,000. Hopefully someone will love our tranquil setting on 2.11 wooded ac in wonderful Union County. If this does not make it sale, then I am going to pull it off the market and move back home!
I know her home is listed on Realtor.com ... it would be easy to find if you did a search. I can't recall the MLS number although I'm sure she'll happily post it. The house is 10 years old, if I recall ... a ranch ... very private.
mom: Would you really move back home or are you joking? Didn't you guys move for your husband's job or am I confusing you with someone else? Just curious!
SaraLee,
You are correct, but our house is only 6 years old not 10. My husband's job relocated to Fl and no I was not kidding, we cannot afford to live here and pay for the house there. If it won't sell then we have no choice but for my hubby to quit his job here and move back to NC. With the price reductions so far under the value and this poor market for the past 7 months, we are struggling. We built the house from the ground up and the land itself cost
33,716.

Reason: no listing info
NJmomof2,
The company paid for the move and things like that but they would not buy our house. This is a small company that he works for so we have to sell ourselves.
You have a nice house. How long has it been on the market? Has people come through to see your house lately? I'm surprised that you have a problem selling your home. It's doesn't appear to be overpriced but I'm not a realtor. I hope that you can sell so that you can stay in Fl.
Hi Washingtonian,
The house has been up for sale since May 11th. We have had a lot of people look at the house but that is as far as it seems to go. We have not had 1 offer and I just do not understand why someone would want to pay more money to live on a postage stamp lot like they are doing in the Waxhaw area.
Everything down here in Panama City is on a postage stamp lot too and I cannot even begin to look for a house since ours has not sold. We are in an apartment and getting more and more frustrated by the minute. If the house does not sell soon, we have got to move back so we can start to have a life again. Cramped into an apartment with everything in a storage building is awful. The stress of all this has about ruined my marriage, kids lives, and everything. I feel as though I dont have much left to fight for.
Definitely keep fighting. Can you guys hold out until Spring? The market should pick up by then.
I'm rooting for you.
