Oh, Loves, how many times have I told you that it's going to be OK. My oldest will be 39 August 11, the other is 35 and, believe it or not, I still cry when they leave! But, you know, as Sunny says, I know that they are giving back to the community - as is yours - and that makes it almost OK.
And don't worry about Z in NYC. You'll love visiting him and hearing about his adventures in that town which is sooo wonderful for young people. Besides now with LD telephone service what it is, it's not like it was when we left home and only talked to the family every once a month or so. The first time I left home for France I only talked to my family at Christmas and on my birthday in April. It's hard for me to believe given the fact that I speak to my kids now almost every day. Ma Bell may have her weaknesses, but she's certainly made life easier for us empty nesters.
The Girls Night Outers will take you out for a cosmo every night the week that he leaves. You won't even know he's gone ....maybe.
hahahahaha - well, your words of wisdom and experience are ones I will take to heart, thank you Barb My Presby baby really is ready to take wings and fly!
As you all may remember my wife and I just had a gorgeous baby girl that turned 1 month old yesterday. She was born at CMC whaich was awesome also. Our experience throughout the whole pregancy was great! They offered a lot of classes which we went to all of them. The "Daddy Boot Camp" also was nice.
So, in all of the nice things said about Presby, keep in mind that there are choices out there
Both our daughters were born at CMC, as well, and everything was just perfect.
True story.
A July full moon night in 2000 at approximately 2am, we pull up to the ER and I stop the car to get out and run around and open my wife's door.
When we were pulling up, an orderly with long dreadlocks immediately ran inside and was out with a wheelchair instantly.
I said "How did you know we needed a wheelchair?"
He replied, "A white couple in a station wagon in the middle of the night - somebody's having a baby!"
We still laugh about it!

Now THAT is funny!
Yep, heard good things about CMC for labor and delivery too We are really fortunate in Charlotte to have so many great choices for medical care.
