I have a friend in town this week and I wanted to show him around Charlotte. I live in Fort Mill, so I'm not too familiar with the area.

What are some of the cooler streets to walk down in Charlotte? I know Noda is a cool area... and the main drag downtown. Any other suggestions? We're young guys, so we're not interested in family stuff.

We'll probably be checking out Asheville while he is here too.

Thanks.

A walk down Queens Road in Myers Park is a great way to see some gorgeous estate homes, if you're into that. Not really any businesses/shops, but IMO its the nicest residential street in all of Charlotte.

The main drag in Uptown Charlotte is really the Trade St and Tryon St area.

Myers Park/Eastover - Queens Road - then off of Randolph - Edgehill (fabulous) - Morehead to Freedom Park and a walk around Freedom Park! East Boulevard definitely and side streets which will showcase the dilworth area!

Central and Thomas Ave/The Plaza is a neat place to check out, but it's a pretty small area. Smaller than NoDa even.

I'd also check out the WW Park if you haven't been out there yet.
