Ok, I have been here long enough and I could not tell you where "the 4th ward" or 'NoDa" is located. I need a good link with a map that shows the districts and gives the highlights of each. I feel like I'm missing out on things.

Charlotte's Got A Lot :: Charlotte Maps, Center City, Mecklenburg County, Parking Info

There are six different maps on this website I like using the first one on this website
Click interactive maps and on the left side it allows you to type in your point of interest and this where you can type in Noda .. etc and the map will zoom in on that area

NoDa is not in uptown, it is about 2 miles North along N Davidson. Check out noda.org for happenings.
Uptown is bound by 277 and 77 to the west. There are 4 districts: First, Second, Third, and Fourth Wards. Trade and Tryon set up the quadrants. N Tryon/ E Trade is First then you continue clockwise around.
The interactive map Sunny linked will show you the wards.
Another great neighborhood outside of uptown is plaza midwood which is around Central Avenue and The Plaza.
