How is the Huntersville Hearld when it comes to reporting the news in Huntersville?
Where I relocated from also had a town edition similiar to this, and I found it often to be inaccurate and skewed. I've been reading thru some of the articles on their website and noticed the one about not paying the just under 500K cable bill.
I then jumped to Huntersville Herald Online (http://www.huntersvilleherald.com/articles/2008/08/22/news/local/local08.txt - broken link)
this article which was about a local cyclist that was killed while riding to work. The story is sad, but I was a little concerned that the article says "A concrete truck driven by 51-year-old James Zimmerman was heading north on Highway 21 through that intersection at approximately the same time..."
If the truck hit the guy, wouldn't that mean that it was exactly the same time...maybe I'm just getting a little too picky.
The Huntersville Herald is put out weekly and the paper is more base on local happenings than news due to that it is weekly.
I never paid attention to much for breaking news because I already saw or read it from another source earlier that week . I only read it when I am bored . If you was a parent it is a good newspaper because it does have a good school happenings section.
There is no reason to be picky but dont rely on it for news. It is design like small town papers are generally are.
