I'm a young professional female in the process of relocating to Charlotte and was specifically looking into NoDa because of the art influence. However, housing options in that area don't seem to appear very safe (location wise). I understand that it's in transition. Does anyone have any comments or advice concerning this area (specifically around Boudreaux's, Cabo Fish Taco, etc.) I've only been able to visit the area a few times due to my residence being 2 states away.
I live in NoDa with my wife and 8 week old daughter. We have lived in NoDa for about a year and a half now. Feel free to message me if you have specific questions or concerns that I can address.
If you stay close to the main strip (36th and Davidson) you will be fine. Just don't get too close to The Plaza, W. Sugar Creek or North Tryon.
