I'm finally getting moved into my townhome in Arysley. I'm looking for a desk for my office that can be delivered same day or comes unassembled enough to fit in my Altima. If it helps, I really like the L-shaped desks with hutches.

I know there are 89 million food threads on this board, so I apologize for adding another. I'm heading over to York, SC to check out a possible job site and would like a good place to eat between here and there with my parents, even in Tega Cay. I would definitely prefer a local fav over a chain.

All help is always appreciated. You folks have been wonderful over the past few months as I transitioned here from NY.

Hello and welcome - we're settling on our place in Ayrsley tomorrow and, as we both work from home have been looking for new home office furniture too. If you're looking for something basic and not too high end, look at Staples.com. They are actually running something on at least some of their desks right now - 15% off until like August 5 or something and I just found the desk I think I'm getting there. Anything over $50 from Staples (where I usually get my office supplies) is free shipping (usually 1-2 business days). They don't have a huge selection of office furniture, but they do have some stuff.

They also have a thing with another company where you can hire someone to come over and assemble the darn thing for you too.

My son has bought 2 desks over the years - one similar to what you are talking about. He got them in boxes - one from Staples and one from Office Depot. They were not hard to put together.

That's what I thought - but the one I got at my last place from Staples had like 49 steps and after an hour I was up to step # 3. I finally paid my friend's daughter's bf to put it together - he does construction work and it still took him 2-3 hours.

I guess I'm just getting lazy in my old age

Thanks for the suggestions on the desk...I actually ended up finding one at Walmart that my dad will have the pleasure of putting together today. I guess its a good thing he's in construction.

Any recommendations on food near York or Tega Cay?

Although someone else didn't like it much, I ate at the Fish Bone Grill when I was there and thought it was a good value. Food was good, not too loud at Sunday lunch, service was quick. Middle of the road type place, not up to the Bonefish Grill's style.
