If you've seen the Dark Knight at the IMAX Dome, what are your thoughts? Was it worth it? Enjoyable?

If you've seen it in both IMAX and standard theatres, which one was better?

TIA

Friends that saw at Imax did not like it -- very hard to follow, screen to big to see whole frame at once.

Just heard from someone today who said they got a huge headache seeing it in IMAX.
Maybe just 2.5 hrs of dark action is too much for the medium, but that was just one person's opinion.

I saw Dark Knight Tuesday night in a normal theater and loved it.
Tonight, the DW (love her) and I will see the new X-Files.

Imax by far but only if you get good seats, so get there at least 30 minutes earlier. You do not want to sit in the front row there. If you are in the middle and at least halfway up as we were, you will love it. We saw it there last night and was awesome. The only downside is that the seating is a little different than a regular theatre, so you will be stiff after 2.5 hours. The sound in the Imax dome was also quite impressive.

If you want to see it in a regular theatre, try to go see it in the digital format. Digital projection is quite intense as well.

We watched one of the Harry Potter movies at Imax and neither one of us liked it. We both ended up with headaches. Unless you get great seats, it's not a good experience.

For the Harry Potter show, we got there at least 30 minutes before the movie started but the line to get in was already wrapped around the building.

Saw it in a regular theater & LOVED it!! 2.5 hrs long...dark & intense...some great action scenes & stunts.

It should be noted that unlike other movies shown at the IMAX Dome (such as Harry Potter, Spiderman 3), a lot of the scenes for The Dark Knight were shot using 70mm IMAX film.

Great point, but I think the seats (sitting farther away) are the most important thing.
