Hi All!

I did a quick search of this forum but couldn't locate what I was looking for... so maybe some of you can help? Sunnykayak, this one is probably right up your alley...

I was trying to get a list of upcoming fairs and festivals for the Mecklenburg and Union County areas. I know I can look in the paper to see whats coming up soon, but I was hoping for a list of the scheduled fairs and fests for the year. Do these counties have fairs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Charlotte.com is actually a great resource too. See the left side of this link where it says "Fairs and Festivals"

I think Union County has a fair in Monroe...but Charlotte hasn't had a fair in many many years since there is Carowinds Amusement Park in Charlotte.

They say that one of the 2 better fairs in the area are either the Cabarrus County Fair in Concord and the Cleveland County Fair in Shelby.

The Cabarrus County Fair is a pretty big event. If Union has a fair, I've never heard a peep about it. Tons of fests in the fall -- Mint HIll has one Labor Day weekend, and there's the Ren Fair out in Concord/Huntersville. It's expensive, though -- look for coupons!
