Good question, I believe that I have seen a Filipino restaurant around, but I can't recall where. I do like the food. I would like to know where one is as well.
I used to think it was just a Japanese restaurant but it's owned by a Filipino and he serves Filipino food, even those not on the menu. Just have to call ahead and ask if there's something you are craving, if he has the ingredients he will make it.
Wife and I have been there a couple of times and we've tried everything from the Sushi to the Dinuguan and they were all delicious.

Joels is one of our favourite places to eat in Mooresville. I think it's kind of a an asian fusion restaurant. Very casual. Great value food-love the soups and curries. Huge menu-advise to try and take a look before you get there! http://www.joelsgrill.com/
Beers are decent prices ,staff are friendly, good service and like the outdoor patio area. Just a warning-it's almost always busy.

In 2010 he alos opened J J Wasabis in downtown Mooresville. Much bigger space with a different feel, again very popular but the crowd feels different-less relaxed,more stuffy maybe-not sure. We only went once.I think the menus are the same.
