Nice!, Fat Tire was my favorite beer in college. When ever I'm in Vegas, I always make sure to get some!

New Belgium Brewing Rolls Out Three Brews To North Carolina - BeerAdvocate (http://beeradvocate.com/news/1803026 - broken link)

"New Belgium Brewing, makers of Fat Tire Amber Ale, is happy to announce that it's entering Tar Heel country. Beginning March 2, 22-ounce bombers of Fat Tire, 1554 and Mothership Wit will become available at grocers and beer and wine shops in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, Asheville and Wilmington. By mid-April these same beers will be pouring in select bars."

Please Post on here when and where you see it for sale and how much it costs!! Hopefully 6 packs won't be far behind!

Can't wait!

This is incredible news! I went to college in Boulder, so I really have been missing my Fat Tire since leaving in 2000. Yippee! Will keep my eyes open everywhere I go.

It will also be available in 6-packs a few months after the release of the 22oz bottles (or so I heard from a distributor).

Sweet! I'm not really a 22oz drinker anymore. It's been quite a few years since college. A sixpack will work much better.
I'll take what I can get, though, when it comes to Fat Tire.

Bring me up to date please. First, is this Belgian beer actually brewed in Belgium? If so, how does it compare to Stella Artois for taste and alcohol content? I was unable to find it when I looked up Belgian Amber beers, so I am guessing that it is brewed in the U.S. Thanks for any info. As you know, Stella bought out Budweiser. I am hoping that budweiser becomes as good. I am anxious to try your brand if it is brewed over there. Can it be purchased on draugh?

Sorry, Bandi, this beer is brewed in Colorado (Fort Collins, if I remember right). The name of the brewery is New Belgium. Very, very good, used to be only available on the Front Range in CO, but has branched out with popularity. Fat Tire is one of its most famous beers. I love Stella, too, but this is really nothing like it. You should give it a try, though, to see if you like it. Maybe it's the altitude out there that makes it so good!

Yeah, I graduated from CU in Boulder in 1999. I've been missing Fat Tire ever since, though the wife says I shouldn't be drinking anything w/ the name Fat Tire! haha. I hope they eventually bring Sunshine Wheat to Charlotte too!

Bandibadji- Yeah, Fat tire is more of an amber ale. Check it out on their website, they have pretty good descriptions of their beers, food pairings, etc.

Please confirm your age | New Belgium

Nice, I graduated in 1997, and then again in 2000. I miss drinking Fat Tire on the rooftop of the West End. I'll absolutely be scouring shelves starting on March 2nd. Thanks so much for letting everyone know!
