I think you mean "scam". OP does not "spam" (other than maybe eat it) as she is always trying to help with employment ops. for members of this forum.

Hi pink! I love Spam! Okay, if people think things like these are scam, then I'll stop posting job anything. Last time I posted that Husqvarna in Charlotte would be hiring, someone posted the jobs (then) in Swedish, trying to be funny, even when the article mentioned they won't start opening up till February. Well, I put it on my tickler schedule and sure enough, there were at least 4 Marketing manager positions at the end of January. I posted it on the thread, but it seems no one in the Charlotte forum NEEDS a marketing job, so I referred the link to someone in LinkedIn who posted she got laid of at the TV station in Charlotte. Very thankful lady, I just might get to meet her.

I guess people in the Charlotte forum don't need job leads, so I'm done giving them out.

I personally didn't mean to sound negative. I haven't been to one of those "Job Fairs" but I've heard that they're usually packed and typically there are like 1000 people looking to fill 10 positions.

I want to hear good stories or success stories about job fairs. And that's basicly what I was asking for.

Not meant for you GP...just in general. I've been posting job leads here since before but always got some negs. I have a job and don't need one...in fact I've posted leads even when it could generate competition for me as well. It would be nice to hear back from those who went too, but so far, I've got none so....

On top of that, there are posters who have asked for recommendations on housekeepers, accountants, masseuses...I've DM'ed them all, but you know what, many of them don't even reply and acknowledge the recommendation (and oh yes I remember who they are!), so I'm done with those as well.

Don't let a couple bad apples spoil the bunch. hopefully posters will start being more proactive about reporting worthless, rude, sarcastic, negative posts and we'll eventually get rid of some of the rifraf. Also some people who have posted here for quite some time that might be getting a little carried away can tame there postings a bit if they start seeing themselves corrected more often...

If you only help one person, that one person who my not have gotten the help without you.

When I volunteer time I see many that just don't respect the sacrifice we're giving and many that have an overall lazy entitled attitude towards life. But then after helping a few of those, someone comes along who REALLY needed the help. And that's why I'm there, to make sure that person got what they needed. The others my not deserve my help but that's all part of doing the good deed.

Bibit, don't stop! I have bumped your posts up in the past and also thanked you for being proactive and posting them . . . and I am sure others have appreciated it, too!

Some folks here have a chip on their shoulders - ignore it! I often have not gotten thanked for going out of my way for posters, but I have also received wonderful notes saying how things fell in place b/c of info I shared. I don't think folks mean to be rude - they just get tied up or they get their info and don't return to the forum.

All you have to do is look at how many times these threads are viewed and that tells you folks DID look at the info - and maybe it helped them!

Anyway, just don't want you to get discouraged. The job info is very very valuable - as are you as a member of the forum.
