My neighbor said that when it is time to renew your license, you have to take the written test again, is this true?

Only the vision test where they ask u to identify the signs

We heard you have to take the written test when you transfer a license from another state.

You do have to take the written and vision test when you are transferring from another state.

Yes you have to take the written test when transfer states. I will say coming from Florida some of the questions were very country type questions that would never be put on a Florida written test. I recommend quickly flipping through the book.

You also have to take the written test if you have any violations (points) on your license currently.
