My family and I will be moving to Charlotte in the next month. We live in Davie Florida which is a family oriented suburban area of Broward County. We would like to move to a similar area in charlotte. So far We are interested in the Concord, Gastonia, University and Mathews/Pineville areas. Our goal is to rent for a year and while we survey where we want to buy our house. My first queston is regarding High Schools.
We like what we've seen so far of these schools
1. Forestview High--- Gastonia
2. Ashbrooke high --- Gastonia
3. Providence High--- Charlotte
4. Myers Park High--- Charlotte
5. Jay m Robinson --- Concord
I've seen the test scores which puts Ashbrooke on the fringe, but what I want to know about is environment. Do any of these school have an environment that one might consider unsafe?
My second question is, to the best of one's knowledge, which of the areas surrounding the schools provide the best quality of life? (ie.. close to shopping, parks, Safe area with a nice appearance with folks that are not standoffish)
