Whenever I do a search of homes in Charlotte, I usually come up with houses in these zip codes, 28269 and 28277, what part of Charlotte are these located in? How is the area? Is it reasonably safe? Thanks!

28277 is a part of town known as Ballantyne. The area is bounded by Providence Rd, 51, Union County, and Pineville. Very nice. It's the far southern edge of town.

28262 is the northern part of the University area. A big chunk of it is north of Interstate 85.

28269 is north and 28277 is south. 28277 includes Ballantyne but also includes other areas in South Charlotte. To check crime stats, go to www.charmeck.org and click on police. Best of luck

Zip codes cover large areas, some of which may be good, some of which may not be so good. If you want to know about particular neighborhoods or even streets name them and I can tell you what I know

Are you familiar with Hazelcroft Lane, in the 28269 zip area?
The neighborhood is Oakbrooke (it looks like a new addition).
Many thanks,
Maddie Claire

Stay away from 28269 and stick with 28277.
