After building a $3 million firehouse in Steele Creek by The Sanctuary, some city council members are having second thoughts about annexing more areas around the city.
Annexation questioned after NewsChannel 36 report | WCNC.com | Local News for Charlotte, North Carolina | Top Stories (http://www.wcnc.com/news/topstories/stories/wcnc-111108-mw-annexation.1a2696aff.html - broken link)
Additionally, this is one ignorant council member speaking (out of 12). There's always one or two who don't understand things enough and make an idiotic decision. Looks like they found them for this interview.
Why on earth would you approve a fire station to be built there, then turn around and say "I think your news story brought up some good points" (implying that the station shouldn't have been built there) and jeopardize the city's already laid out plan for annexing that area? Idiot.
Not a real smart move by Foxx, if you ask me. Makes him look clueless as a council member.
This is the man who wants to replace McCrory as mayor... good luck with that pipe dream, the gist of his comments reveal he isn't really paying attention to his duty as a council member.
