We are looking to adopt privately with a birth mother. Does anyone out there have an adoption lawyer you've used that was good, and what are the costs? PM me, of course. Thanks.

You might want to add to your post the country (if in fact that's the case) where you want this to happen.

BTW-Last Sunday's (or the Sunday before) the magazine section of the NY Times had a major article on the information you're looking for.Don't know if that's on line..but it's good info.

The birth mother should also have her own attorney to represent her. Has she received counseling regarding her situation? A good place for information is adoption.com. They have an online forum where you might get more recommendations on attorneys here in NC that can help you.
