Does anyone know of any nice restaurants that might have some music going on. such as a small band or jazz ensemble. We are thinking of doing Ruth Chris however that might be a bit out of our league for this new years eve so we are looking for something with class but a little cheaper.. I also don't know if they will have music..

Sorry I don't have a suggestion for dining out with live music. Maybe in a couple years once the children are older.....

But, New Year's Eve...party at neighbor's house. Gotta love just walking to your destination.

I'm guessing it's just in the city, not any specific building.

I wouldn't mind going to this myself.

Cosmos Cafe, Taste the World
It's downtown and you can have a great dinner and drinks at the same place.

New to Charlotte (4 days). Looking for a fun place to listen and dance to classic rock/blues live music (good dance music). Anyone know of such places in the area?

Amos' or the Double Door.

No idea what either of those places are doing for New Year's, though.

Sante! In old downtown Matthews. The most romantic place--and wonderful food! A little late I know. My son is a waiter there, and I don't think they are booked this year.

I know the Blue is very nice, specially if you want privacy hopefully you sit in the back and the booths have high backs on them. Great food also, very nice music. Jazz and blues. "Soft" My man and I went for a special dinner out and just stayed for 2 hours.

I am looking to go to a Beautiful Ball, to dance and dine with no teeny boppers at all. Old music, good wine, people our age! Maybe, one of the Foundation's are giving or holding a ball. I would paid $50 to $75 each not to be around a bar or Rap music. Jazz, olders, slow, classical, "no country." I have my grown and my hair appointment, all I need is-- the where to go?????
