Greetings my fellow Charlotte brothers and sisters.
Fellow Chicagoan here.
I may move to the Charlotte area in the middle of next year. One thing that I really like is jazz radio and concernts. Does Char. have a active jazz scene or jazz radio station?
I am not looking for anything like Chicago, not to mention Chicago is a blues town moreso than jazz. I think when people move to a new city looking for things that their old city had, that's where they go wrong. You miss out on the beauty and opportunities of the new city. By no means am I comparing the jazz scene of Chi to Char. I just like jazz and I would prefer to live somewhere that has a jazz radio station.
My reason for it is, if there is a jazz radio station that means national acts have a media outlet to advertise. If there is no jazz radio, national acts won't come because there is no place to get the word out.
Thanks again.
Ron

Fellow Chicagoan here! (so, what part of the city are you from?) There seems to be more of an interest in jazz...sortof...lately. There is a place here in the University area that is supposed to play jazz and occasionally, the University itself (UNCC, kind of similar to Circle Campus except on the north side of the city) has concerts.
However, all that aside, please make sure that you have a job before you come. The job market here is really bleak....
I appreciate the tip but I have an online based business so no job is needed.
Thanks

What are some good areas to live in, it does not have to be Charlotte proper.
