I will try to find out who my DH used 2 years ago. I have a hard time liking headhunters in general, but then I am not one to care much for sales people in general.

This one got upset at DH for not taking a corporate accounting job when he specifically asked for Business Management jobs.

But in the end, he did get him a job he wanted.

I'm a corporate controller.

I moved here from NY late last year, and began looking for a job January 1.

I found a position in three week through Robert Half. I recommend you call them.

I have an accounting/finance background as well. I have heard mixed things about Robert Half, but am looking to relocate to Charlotte in the next 60-90 days. I'd appreciate the name of a good headhunter as well.

Pioneer gets some good jobs but Kristin over at Aerotek got me my job. What ever you are looking for in salary don't let them BS you about getting what you want. If your resume is good they will negotiate with you, stand your ground. I have been to them all and they all told me I couldn't get the salary I wanted. I ended up getting pretty darn close, .50 less an hour to be exact. I actually think I'm ahead since my commute cost are lower.

Anyway..... the bottom line is they almost all give the same speech.

Sheena,
Thanks for the reply. I am coming from the Northeast so I expect a slightly lower salary, but I will not let them BS me as my experience is excellent.

Thanks for the tips though. Sounds similar to the headhunters here.
Andy

Hy husband started looking for a job this Jan, put his updated resume up on Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com (not accounting though--engineering) and he had calls/emails EVERY day for a while. Got a job, he's starting in April.
Good luck.
