If you are not watching TV... just saw pictures of a US Airways flight in the Hudson river. Bound for Charlotte. Ferries are picking up passengers. Hope you and yours are safe.
(Sorry, LGA = Laguardia... not sure how i typed UGA)
It was an Airbus 320...they believe that there are/were 23 on flight. It seems that (thankfully) they were able to evacuate the passengers quickly on ferries. From what they can tell the crew acted quickly and the the plane never completely submerged. It went down on takeoff.
Airbus 320 is still floating in the Hudson River. A water taxi was traveling by and stopped immediately to help pick up the passengers. There is a conflict of how many people are on board, anywhere from 23 to 146. They believe it was a bird strike.
I pray for all that are on board to be safe. kelsie
Please keep these folks in your prayers and hope that the news reports are correct that all got out.
I am confused. It sounds like they are saying no one has gotten off yet - they are throwing life vest in right now. ????? Did you all hear people have gotten off already?

This is so scary - birds bringing down a plane! Looks like people were evacuated Ani.
My heart sank because I had 5 Partners in the air. When I received the news, I literally thought the worst. I got the news backwards; they made it to NY. I feel for all those who are on the flight and their love ones.
