I own an Amazon Parrot and up until now have been ordering her seed/mix from CA. It is an excellent mix of nuts/seeds. The shipping cost is getting to expensive so now I am trying to locate a good GRAIN AND MILLING place in this area where I can purchase her food. Any ideas would surely be appreciated.

Is it an actual seed mix, or pellets? I haven't heard of feeding parrots just seeds before, but there is a bird shop in Pineville that may have what you are looking for or could probably order it.

Its called Parrot University. Good place. Really nice people and very knowledgable. We are usually in there every couple months for our Sun conure. They could be a little pricey compared to what you would pay online but i think its worth it for what they do.

Oh no I don't just feed her seeds. But it's not pellets either. It is a mix of dried fruits plus and an amazing mix of so many healthy seeds and nuts. I also give her fresh fruits and veggies daily. She is my baby! Ha! I did look at a PetsMart here but the mixes looked horrible and had bugs in them! Yikes! That's why I thought if I could buy it straight from the GRAIN AND MILLING place it would be fresh. A pet store would be fine if I could find it fresh and the right quality. I have not found many good bird stores in this area yet. I am open to those suggestions too!

Try maybe Birds Unlimited in Concord. They are right next to the mall. Not sure if they will have what you are looking for but figured you could try it..GL

Do you have an address and/or phone number please? I doubt if they are nearly as much as what I am paying to have her foods shipped from CA now!

So basically it is pet shops and not grain mills around here right?

I haven't heard of any grain mills, but the Bird Zone in Pineville is a small business, I bet the lady there would place an order for what you wanted so you could avoid shipping.
