I would like some feedback on what you all think about waterless car washes. Also let me know if you would have your car washed without water. I have heard different opinions about this from all over the country but I would like to see what people in Charlotte think.

I am a car detail junkie and would never consider such.
I would cancel my cable (but not internet) before I stop washing/waxing my cars...
well you wouldn't stop washing/waxing car because it is the same as washing it but there is no water from a hose and you still wax your car like you always do.

So what keeps the dried particles on your car from scratching the clear coat, esp delicate dark colors?
I am a professional motorcycle painter BTW, so I do know paint.
I have had black cars that over 2-3 years developed swirl marks from only very delicate hand washing.
the spray in the bottle lifts the dirt and for built on dirt you can just adjust your concentration. I understand your concern for swirl marks and certainly on dark color vehicles but I have used it on my dark red pearl Tundra and have not noticed any swirl marks since I polished it. I can tell you that I used have an Astro Black Mini Cooper and just after a hand wash I could see marks all over the car. The way to keep the dirt from scratching the paint to flip the microfiber towel so that you are rubbing a dirty towel on the car.

I do that already on bikes, but the 'spray' in the bottle includes H20
You said 'waterless'...which means NO water.

This is seriously common sense, tell me something I do not know.
Microfiber cloths, check, been using for 15+ years and before that real chamois.
It is all about lubrication (water) and towel management to prevent swirl marks.
BTW, my '09 AstroBlack MINI S Cabrio will be here in three weeks.

a waterless car wash means that you do not have use your water hose to wash your car or bike. It's not just a Meguiar's Quik Detailer. Congrats on your Cooper S, I loved mine but the maintenance on a BMW is too much for me. I love my Tundra Double Cab
I have a side business restoring vintage BMWs and occasional other oddities.
