I might need a 2 or 3 month apartment lease to bridge the gap between selling and moving in to the new house. Any suggestions? I hear they are hard to come by so anywhere in the Charlotte area would be OK. Price... well say $1000 or less for a 2 bedroom... Thanks

I posted this link today in another thread:

Charlotte,NC Apartments. Find Apartments for Rent in Charlotte,NC

There are several companies on this list that do short term leases / corporate apartments. We used A Plus Accommodations last summer when we were in the same position (moved here in June, house not finished until August). Most are fully furnished and include all utilities - we just kept our stuff in storage during that time.

You might have to pay a bit more than $1000 for a 2 bedroom, but I guess it depends on whats available and where the property is located.

Thank you both! This forum really is such a great resource. This would have taken me at least an hour of phone calls without you guys.

Seconded on Strawberry Hill - relatively convenient location, management is easy to deal with, and they have lots of people who live there while they look for houses. We did three months for a surcharge. Still friends with some people we met there before finding our house, too.
