Via Sorrento Dr., Charlotte, NC 28277





A body was discovered Tuesday morning in a pond near the Ballantyne area in south Charlotte.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the body was found off Via Sorrento Drive about 10:30 a.m. Police are at the scene, conducting an investigation.
There is no word as to whether the body was that of a man or woman.
More details to come as they become available.

Holy #$R$ this is literally right outside of my condo building. I'm sitting in my home office right now with helicopters buzzing, 3 camera vans, detectives, the whole 9!!!!!

It's so quiet around here besides the old retired people who party it up all of the time. Just crazy!!!!!!

my friend phoned me as she lives there and can see everything going on.
Said the body was still in there.

Just read it was a missing 59 year old man. Very sad.

No they removed it around 1:00pm today.

I've been sitting here in my office watching everything since this morning right out the window. The pond is across the parking lot from my building.
